Over 1,178 employees from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, and Meta โ including Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and OpenAI chief scientist Jakub Pachocki โ signed the "Pacing the Frontier" letter last week. They are calling on Washington to build governance tools to deliberately slow automated AI research when the moment demands it.
