A new study of more than 2,000 older adults in Japan found that people with lower blood levels of vitamin C had measurably less gray matter volume and weaker connections in the brain network responsible for memory and attention. The findings add to growing evidence that this common antioxidant โ which the body cannot produce on its own โ may play a real role in protecting brain structure as we age.
